The museum organises several separate exhibitions a year, featuring both historical art and modern art. The museum offers a wide-ranging educational programme including guided tours, lectures and other art events.
PERMANENT COLLECTION // Lillehammer Art Museum
The museum´s permanent collection comprises Norwegian visual art from the 1800s up until today. It is considered one of the country´s most important art museums with particularly important and representative works from the years 1820 – 1930.

One hundred years ago, in 1919, Nobel prize-winner Sigrid Undset relocated to, Bjerkebæk, a house in the town of Lillehammer. The exhibition "To Enclose Oneself" at Lillehammer Art Museum opens 20th May 2019.
